About the Author
Dr. Bernard Jensen (March 25, 1908 - February 22, 2001) was a chiropractor, entrepreneur, and the author of numerous books and articles on health and healing. Although best known for his work in iridology, Jensen was a noted proponent of a variety of alternative care methods including nature cure, hydrotherapy (such as colon hydrotherapy), fasting, reflexology, color therapy, polarity, glandular balancing, homeopathy, herbology, acupuncture, craniopathy and personology. He traveled to over 50 countries to study the lifestyles of the different cultures in an effort to understand the principles of long and healthy living. He visited Russia where he studied the long-lived people. The last man he met in Russia was 152 years of age. Dr. Jensen journeyed to New Zealand several times, stayed at Sri Aurobindo s Ashram in India and visited Sai Baba, one of the masters of India. He met with the Dalai Lama and stayed with the King of Hunza Valley. Many of the spas and nature cure sanitariums in Europe were visited. Constructive ideas were brought back to develop the 100 acre Hidden Valley Health Ranch in Escondido, California in 1955. He saw more than 350,000 patients in his lifetime. For many years Jensen maintained both an office in Los Angeles and at Hidden Valley Health Ranch where he would see patients. For years he taught Iridology workshops at the ranch. Dr. Jensen authored more than 50 books and booklets, plus some of his work appeared in VHS and DVD format.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS VIA IRIDOLOGY

Well, it was a lot of money (to me) but I intend to learn Iridology so it will be and was well worth it. A lot of details, a lot of pictures and could potentially be a 'Bible of Info' for those who wish to discover more about the 'state of their body' through the Soft Tissue of the Iris. Fascinating. I love hard covers, they help protect a book from too much damage. When one looks for alternative teachers of iridology, it is actually quite hard to find anything so Bernard Jensen is about the only 'obvious' one out there. It should be a TOP SCIENCE but somehow it slipped through the clutches of the Medical, rather 'sickly' establishment. It comes with Eye Graphs, where you can place them over the eye and see where the damaged organs are. If you want to self-diagnose your body, this IS the way.

The "eyes" have it

This book really is a 5-star, the basic and best reference on the topic. I'm not an iridologist but I wanted to understand more about this area, to actually understand how someone can look at the eye and learn something about the health of the body. The book is filled with illustrations and charts of the eyes, and shows how the eyes, broken down into different sections, relate to the rest of the body. One can also see such things as stress, inherited issues, etc. It's all there, in the retina, the size of the pupil, the coloring, etc. I don't know if this is "New Age" because it's not a new area of physical study. It's been around for a long time. If one wants to know more, this book presents an in-depth presentation on the subject, and you don't have to be a doctor to understand it.

THis is a heavy tome. It was packed very well and was not damaged in shipment.
The condition was as stated. It's well written and a good beginning for me in learning about
iridology from one of the Masters of it in the US, a man who was passionate about this subject,
it's continual refinement and new discoveries. Lots of color plates too.
